Paulo LOURENCO - Portugal
Born in Lisbon, Paulo Lourenço is a leading conductor in Portugal and has a doctoral degree in choral and orchestral conducting at the University of Cincinnati (USA). Appointed as assistant conductor of the Gulbenkian Choir since 2012, he is also the head of the masters program in choral conducting at Lisbon’s Superior School of Music, where he conducts the school’s chamber choir. He is the founder of the acclaimed a cappella group Tetvocal with whom he won several prizes and whose repertoire is closely linked to Portuguese culture.
