Jan Schumacher is a professor and musical director at the University of Frankfurt; he teaches orchestral direction at the Academy of Darmstadt and directs the Camerata Musica Limburg. As an orchestra director, he has worked on a large repertoire of oratorios and romantic masses, from Gregorian chants to contemporary music as well as opera, improvised and electronic music. He is a regular at large choral events around the globe whether it be as a director, clinicien or masterclass instructor.
