Bizet, Ravel, Verdi… You dream of singing opera choruses but it feels like a far off dream? The Choralies will allow you this pleasure.
C02 – A journey into Mélodie // From 1 to 5 August
Let us delve into French Mélodie and its subtle harmonic language.
C03 – Jazz on ! // From 1 to 5 August
A dose of swing, a pinch of bossa nova, a dash of velvety ballads and many more surprises are the recipe for an intense jazz experience.
C04 – French song by the legendary Barbara // From 1 to 5 August
This workshop will take you through the poetic universe of French singer Barbara.
C05 – Canada from coast to coast // From 1 to 5 August
From the Pacific to the Atlantic coast, from the Prairies to Acadia through Ontario and Quebec, this atelier celebrates Canadian music sung in French, English and Hebrew.
C06 – Monteverdi in San Marco’s Basilica, Venice // From 6 to 9 August
This masterpiece of sacred music bears the last fires of the Renaissance era and paves the way for baroque music.
C07 – Théodore Dubois’ Mass in E-flat // From 6 to 9 August
A hidden jewel by the famous author of Traité d’harmonie who was also a composer, and who lived at the same time as Gabriel Fauré.
C08 – Gregorian // From 6 to 9 August
Introduce or re-introduce you to Gregorian chant through a few famous pieces of the repertoire.
C09 – Barbershop // From 6 to 9 August
We will sing in English these fun and happy-go-lucky tunes which oscillate between jazz, folksong and swing.
C10 – Brazil ! // From 6 to 9 August
This atelier is led by Brazilian group Ordinarius and its conductor Augusto Ordine who will introduce you to arrangements of the group’s repertoire. You will discover Brazilian music through vocal exercises and improvisations for a rhythmic and physical experience.
F01 – Study tour // From 1 to 9 August
This atelier is a study tour for choral conductors who will approach new repertoire, observe the ateliers and learn from conductors present at the festival as well as from one another.

L18 – Gospel // From 1 to 9 August
Through a selection of iconic African American songs, the choral conductor and singer songwriter Bassey Ebong will teach you gospel repertoire.
