Unleash your energy with a dynamic pop repertoire. Put together a unique performance with bold arrangements, staging and choreography.

TranscenDanse | Youth 16 to 30 years old

Why do we love the thrill of being on stage? TranscenDanse is a cinematic performance that tells a layered story, where people who feel lost find meaning through artistic expression.
This atelier features ambitious arrangements of pop songs, reimagined with expressive harmonies. We’ll work on our stage presence, drawing on body language, facial expressions, self-confidence and mutual trust to create captivating original scenes.
We’ll also focus on smooth transitions between songs to keep the performance flowing and impactful.
Arrangements will be shared beforehand to avoid sight-reading difficulties and accommodate participants of all musical levels. We’ll focus on blending voices, improving musicality and developing stage presence. Our ultimate goal? Becoming true singer-actors and understanding that our artistic selves allow us to transcend our limits.

Biography

Madeline Francart-d’Houtaud

Madeline d’Houtaud is a music professor at Nancy University and has been the artistic director of the university choir since 2012. Originally trained as a cellist, she discovered her passion for choral singing during her studies at the Faculty of Musicology and the Nancy Conservatory. Madeline earned a diploma in choral conducting from the Metz Conservatory and regularly trains with choir directors through the À Cœur Joie network.
Alongside her husband, Pierre, she is on a mission to make choir singing more exciting and appealing to young people. To achieve this, they create shows that combine choral singing with choreography and stage design, set to a contemporary repertoire.
