Let’s get together and make an a cappella orchestra using onomatopoeias! You’ll be looping beats from electro-swing (Caravan Palace, Abraham Inc.) to contemporary music (Meredith Monk, Stephen Hattfield), from Quincy Jones to Zap Mama, using 4, 5 or 6 voices. Memory, body and rhythmic ease are your best friends in this workshop where you’ll be upright and on the move. Unleash the energy in you!
Jeanne Dambreville has a degree in music and choral direction and has studied under Catherine Simonpietri, Lionel Sow, Claire Marchand and Didier Grojsman. She teaches at training centres for professional musicians, at Missions Voix, and serves in the national centre for public administration and on several educational boards. Passionate about the connections between the voice and movement as well as the mixing of styles, she co-created the company Répète un peu pour voir and is the musical director of several shows. A member of the Funky Frogs band, she explores the soul/pop/funk a cappella repertoires. Dambreville also partakes in participative operas in several cities including at the Opera in Rouen, the Philharmonic in Paris and at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées.
