Xavier Stouff started singing at the age of 5 and later trained in piano and violin. He studied choral conducting with teachers like Régine Théodoresco, Néstor Zadoff, Brady Allred, Geoffroy Jourdain, Didier Bouture, Jean-Claude Casadesus and Christoph Eschenbach.
Over the years, Xavier has sung with well-known groups such as La Cigale de Lyon, Isalys, the French National Youth Choir, Le Jeune Chœur de Paris, the Paris Orchestra Choir, La Fenice, Le Poème Harmonique and the French Army Choir.
He also spent ten years singing tenor with Les Cris de Paris, directed by Geoffroy Jourdain.
Xavier’s choral experience covers a wide range of styles, from Renaissance to contemporary music. He founded and leads the SoLaRé choir, created in 2006, and regularly directs the diocesan choir of Notre-Dame de Paris. From 2008 to 2018, he was the conductor of La Brénadienne.
