Biography

Pineau

Frédéric Pineau is a passionate conductor and teacher. He loves exploring the rich world of choral music and introducing it to people from all walks of life. From 2012 to 2018, he was the musical director for the symphonic and philharmonic choirs of COGE, a Paris-based choir and orchestra association for young adults. Since 2012, Frédéric has been the musical and artistic director of the Rouen chamber choir. In 2019, he took on the same role with the Chœur d’Oratorio of Paris. In 2020, he became the director of the Sorbonne University choir (COSU).
As part of a major cultural education project investing in rural areas, Frédéric leads the music programme and choir at a secondary school in rural Normandy. He has also taught choir singing at the Rueil-Malmaison Conservatory. Today, Frédéric conducts the “L’École Harmonique – Démos” orchestra in Rouen, a social programme linked to the Poème Harmonique ensemble. He is actively involved in many social and cultural initiatives with the Philharmonie de Paris, including their recent “EVE” project.
