On Saturday, April 12, some fifty volunteers from all over France gathered in Lyon for a day of preparation for the Choralies. What did they have in common? They’re all choristers, generous, passionate and determined to bring an exceptional festival to Vaison-la-Romaine this summer.
Among them are students, working people and retirees with a wide range of talents: accountant, technician, engineer, doctor, company director, teacher, salesman, deputy mayor, videographer and many others. Each of them volunteers his or her skills in the service of an ambitious festival, designed by and for choristers.

Department heads on deck!
During this day rich in exchanges and good humor, these Service Managers worked together on the various facets of the festival: welcoming the public, ticketing, administration, site management, camping accommodation, logistics, production of musical workshops, general coordination…
The festival’s twenty or so departments were representedillustrating an exemplary commitment just three months ahead of the event.
Culture for everyone!
In this way, the Choralies fully embody the values of popular educationaccessible, collective and living culture, where everyone contributes, learns from others and takes part in a unique human adventure. This summer, nearly 450 volunteers will be on hand in Vaison-la-Romaine to welcome and accompany the 4,000 participants expected.
A huge thank you to all those who are working today to make this collective dream a joyful, vibrant reality.
