Camerata Varsovia

Pologne

Direction : Elżbieta Siczek

CAMERATA VARSOVIA choir was set up in January 2000 as an initiative of its conductor – Elżbieta Siczek and a group of choir members with experience gained as members of other music groups who wanted to follow their own artistic path. Repertoire of the choir consists of sacred and secular music of different periods of time from Gregorian chant to contemporary music performed both a capella and with instruments.

The choir connects its musical activity with social responsibility. As a result, it participates in the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity and gives concerts for the Polish communities in Lithuania and Ukraine or during charity events.

The choir performs in Poland and abroad (Ukraine, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Belgium and the Netherlands, Romania, Bulgaria, Italy, Spain). In April 2012 it has co-participated in the preparation of a concert dedicated to polychoral music of Marian Sawa organized as a part of a PhD degree of Elżbieta Siczek.
