France

Madeline d’Houtaud is a music professor at Nancy University and has been the artistic director of the university choir since 2012. Originally trained as a cellist, she discovered her passion for choral singing during her studies at the Faculty of Musicology and the Nancy Conservatory. Madeline earned a diploma in choral conducting from the Metz Conservatory and regularly trains with choir directors through the À Cœur Joie network.
Alongside her husband, Pierre, she is on a mission to make choir singing more exciting and appealing to young people. To achieve this, they create shows that combine choral singing with choreography and stage design, set to a contemporary repertoire.
