The World Youth Choir (WYC) is an international vocal ensemble founded in 1989 that gathers up to 100 exceptional young singers every year, selected through competitive auditions around the world. Supported by the European Choral Association, the International Federation for Choral Music (IFCM) and Jeunesses Musicales International (JMI), the WYC fosters cultural understanding and artistic exchange.
The WYC is recognised for its work promoting peace and unity, performing at prestigious events like the Olympic Games and the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony. In 1996, the choir was recognised as a UNESCO Artist for Peace, confirming its role as a cultural and musical ambassador. Directed by world-class conductors, the WYC offers its singers a musical, learning and intercultural experience unlike any other.
During each WYC session, the young singers have the opportunity to perform in prestigious venues around the world and celebrate cultural diversity through music.
