French chansons in motion

Step into the world of French “chansons” on stage! Sing beloved French tunes arranged for choir, with voice and movement in perfect harmony.

French chansons in motion

To ensure a good balance of voices, we will no longer be accepting Alto, Mezzo or Soprano registrations for this atelier. Registrations made before November 28 will be validated.

Join this atelier to dive into French chansons in three or four-part mixed harmony.
Through creative teaching methods, you’ll learn to express deep emotions using both your voice and body. Immerse yourself in the songs, connect with their essence and let your body express a range of emotions, physical states and vocal timbres.
This journey of voice and movement will culminate in a vibrant concert where we’ll perform 6 to 7 songs from memory, complete with choreography. Let your voice resonate like never before!

Biography

Maud Galichet

Maud Galichet is a talented and experienced musician, as well as a creative and charismatic teacher. Her dynamic energy makes her an incredibly effective choir director. She is the artistic director of the Dédicace choir in Saint-Germain-en-Laye and leads vocal ateliers and singing events across France and Switzerland with Chanson Contemporaine. At the Nuits de Champagne festival in Troyes, she conducts the 850-strong “Grand Choral” choir. A respected educator, Maud teaches students, secondary school music teachers and choir directors in courses focused on voice and movement. She also leads certification courses for choir directors. In the business world, she coaches people on team management, showing how it can be similar to harmonising voices and bodies in singing. But Maud’s talents don’t stop there – she is also an educational coordinator and teaches both singing and choral singing at the conservatory. She lectures at Paris-Est Créteil University, coordinates various choral events and trains others in bringing voice and body together through movement.
