Information specific to children’s workshops can be found in this document.

We look forward to seeing you in Vaison-la-Romaine, and wish you all the best for the start of summer.

Before the festival

Get workshop scores

The Choralies respect copyright regulations. Photocopying a copyrighted musical score is strictly forbidden. Workshop scores are available for sale, sometimes in booklets produced especially for this edition, after negotiation with the rights holders.

It’s a good idea to mark all scores with your first and last name, and to provide a pocket or binder to keep everything organized.

Before the festival: workshop scores are available for purchase on the Editions website: www.editionsacoeurjoie.fr. Scores will be shipped by June 30. Orders placed from the beginning of July will be waiting for you at the reception desk on July 30, or at the Editions boutique during the festival (located in the Village des Choralies).

On July 30, at the Espace Culturel, only on presentation of your badge, i.e. after registering with the Enrolment Department, you will be able to purchase the scores for your workshop and, in the case of the “1 Jour 1 Thème” workshop, the complete set of 8 days.

From July 31 at the “Village des Choralies

Open to the general public while stocks last.

You’ll also find a wide selection of scores and collections for all choral groups, books, CDs and Choralies souvenirs.

A dedicated sale will also be held at the entrance to the “1 Jour, 1 Thème” workshop, half an hour before each rehearsal, for choristers registered for only one part of the festival. These scores will also be available at the “Village des Choralies” from the following day (free sale to the general public while stocks last). Tel: +33 (0)4.72.19.83.30 – editions@choralies.org

  • bottoms: plain-colored pants, shorts or trousers (color specified below).
  • top: a shirt that’s too big (too big is very important for the choreography; the shirt must be big enough for the choristers to put their arms inside, not in the sleeves, but along the body) in a solid color (color specified below).
  • Also consider a sleeveless top (to be worn under the shirt) with more or less thin straps, but it’s important that the shoulders are clear (tank top style for girls and wifebeater style for boys) in a solid color (color specified below).

These 3 costume elements must therefore be united and have a color that belongs to the following color scale (it is possible to have 3 costume elements of different colors but that harmonize with each other):

  • the color scale from beige to sienna is the most important base (at least 2 elements)

Respect: a collective commitment

Choral practice is based on listening to each other, and respecting each other’s voices and people. This spirit must guide all our interactions during the festival. Sexual and gender-based violence and harassment (SGBV), as well as any intrusive, discriminatory behavior or abuse of authority, have no place here as in your usual choral practice. Each and every one of us must ensure that our relationships are clear, consensual and respectful. Together, let’s create a safe, caring and respectful environment for all.

If you witness or are the victim of inappropriate behavior, a trained team is on hand to listen, provide support and intervene if necessary, in the strictest confidence.

Dedicated call number during the festival: +33 4 72 19 83 36

No unauthorized points of sales

The unauthorized sale of any product whatsoever is prohibited during the Choralies on all sites and their surroundings occupied by the organization.

The sale of merchandising products will take place in the “Village des Choralies”. This area is the only one authorized to sell merchandise on the Choralies site, in compliance with the rules laid down by law.

As an exception to this rule, choirs performing in a concert organized by the Choralies are authorized to sell their CDs and other merchandising at the end of their concert (at this venue and at this time only).

Children from workshops L19, L20, L21 and Atelier Loisirs Enfants

Your child is registered at Espace Junior during the Choralies 2025 festival.

With the festival just around the corner, we’re sending you this document to give you a detailed presentation of the children’s area and how it works.

Introducing Espace Juniors

This area includes 3 types of activities

Junior Workshops

These are 3 musical workshops, one for children aged 8 to 12 and the other two for teenagers aged 12 to 17. Young people enrolled in one of these workshops will take part in rehearsals every morning from 07/07 to 07/08, and in the final concert on the last day. They must be on time for the start of rehearsals, with their scores and a bottle of water (it’s hot under the big tops!). Scores specific to each workshop must be acquired in accordance with the procedures indicated elsewhere, before the first rehearsal on July 31. Photocopies are strictly forbidden.

The Ateliers Juniors concerts will all take place on Thursday, August 07 at the Espace Culturel de Vaison-la-Romaine, ensuring that you can attend them at the same time and in the same place.

Your child’s enrolment in the Junior Workshop entitles him/her to take part in the Junior Afternoons (see below).

L’Atelier Loisirs Enfants (the Leisure atelier)

This is a musical and leisure garden for children aged 4 to 12, whose parents or legal guardians are registered as Choralists on the same days. The youngster can therefore be registered for all or part of the Choralies.

A detailed schedule of activities will be announced at the start of the festival. It will alternate between free play, musical activities, sports and crafts. There will also be outings to discover the town of Vaison-la-Romaine.

Every day, bring a backpack with a bottle of water, sun cream, a cap and a change of clothing for children under 6.

Your child’s enrolment in the Atelier Loisirs Enfants entitles him/her to take part in the Après-Midi Juniors (see below).

Les Après-Midi Juniors (Junior Afternoons)

Every afternoon from 07/07 to 07/08, this area welcomes children aged 4 to 12, registered for the morning workshops, for fun, sports or musical activities.

The schedule for these activities will be communicated in detail at the start of the festival (games in the town, arts and crafts, sports…) and will offer activities adapted to the different age groups (quiet times and naps will also be organized according to the children’s needs).

Enrolments are made on site, subject to a maximum number of children. You can register your child “à la carte” on the days you wish. For organizational reasons, we ask you to fill in a provisional schedule on the first day of the festival. However, your child’s registration for the Après-Midi Juniors can be modified the day before for the following day.

Every day, bring a backpack with a water bottle, cap and sun cream for the afternoons. Espace Juniors provides snacks for the Junior Afternoons.

The Espace Juniors is located in the “Le moulin de César” vacation residence, at 970 avenue César Geoffray, 84110 south of Vaison-la-Romaine, a 15-minute walk from the town center.

Remember to plan ahead when dropping off and picking up your children.

Departure and arrival

When arriving at the site, your child must report to the volunteers and be checked off to indicate his or her presence. For departures, children may only leave the site on their own if written parental permission has been obtained in advance. For children leaving with an adult other than their parent, we ask you to complete the list of authorized persons.

Parents and adults present at workshops

For safety reasons, no parents or accompanying adults are allowed to attend rehearsals or remain on site.

Tickets for Choralies afternoon concerts

Espace Juniors members enjoy access to evening events at the Théâtre Antique, as well as a certain number of tickets to Choralies concerts, under the same terms and conditions as adult choral members.

Health

Some of the volunteers supervising the Espace Juniors are trained in first aid. They’ll look after the children’s physical safety and deal with any problems that may arise (minor injuries, discomfort, etc.). We will contact you immediately in the event of a more serious or persistent problem.

If your child has a medical condition, suffers from an allergy or has special needs, please inform the service manager in advance.
