Love and longing

Music from the far north: Discover the boreal blues

Love and longing

When your loved one is far away, when loneliness is creeping in, songs are your best friends. Ask the wives of sailors and fishermen, ask the lonely farmers of Scandinavia, and they’ll share their beautiful songs about longing and distant love. A touching mix of melancholic and joyful melodies celebrating the expectation of the return of love.
Enjoy this carefully curated repertoire of traditional Swedish songs with accessible harmonies that will take you on a refreshing journey across the straits of this “northern light blues”.
