The Dopplers ensemble originated in the vocal pop scene. With their “Nord” programme, they explore the cycle of nature and life through a Nordic soundscape. Including both original compositions and folk music, the programme represents natural elements – water, fire, earth and air – and evokes the seasons. Dopplers stands out through its immersive concerts with choreography and storytelling, with influences ranging from folklore to pop music.

The Danish vocal ensemble Dopplers, composed of seven vocalists conducted by Astrid Vang-Pedersen, aims to innovate the traditional concert through conscious work on performance and concert design. Through a dedicated focus on communicative performance, conceptual concert programming, storytelling, choreographies and audience participation, Dopplers create unique and magical vocal worlds. The group sings a broad repertoire within multiple genres such as folk, world, pop and classical music, eagerly experimenting with crossover and improvisation. They compose and arrange most of their own repertoire, though they also incorporate known pieces and commissioned compositions.
