Come and discover the riches of Turkish music in this workshop! From the songs from the Mediterranean coast to the irregular rhythms from the Balkans, there is quite a variety of music to discover. Immerse yourself in these echoes from Anatolia and get a taste of the traditions, history and diverse styles of song from the Middle East.
Burak Onur Erdem studied music theory and conducting in Istanbul, finished his postgraduate with Prof. Johannes Prinz in Kunstuniversität in Graz. He also holds a degree in political science. Erdem is currently the artistic director of Turkish National Choir and he is the founder of Rezonans chamber choir. He founded the Choral Culture Association and is still the artistic vice-president of European Choral Association – Europa Cantat.
